Extension of the building on Husova Street in Slavkov u Brna

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the assessment of the existing building of a family house and the design of a complete reconstruction, abovestructure and extention and its change to a multifunctional building. The solved building is located in a terraced house on Husova Street in the center of Slavkov u Brna. The building is divided into 3 functional parts, namely the rebuilt and upgraded part of the building, the demolished part of the existing extension and the newly designed part of the extension. The entrance to the building is secured by an underpass to an enclosed courtyard with additional parking spaces. The new condition has two floors, a residential attic and a partial basement. There is a hairdressing salon on the first floor of the converted part of the building. In other parts of the upper floors there are four residential units. In the basement there are warehouses, cellars, hygiene, utility room and relaxation room with sauna and shower. In the rebuilt part, the original load-bearing system made of mixed masonry and wooden beam ceilings was preserved. In the built-up part, a reinforced concrete monolithic ceiling and ceramic fittings are proposed. The supporting system of roofing with a mansard roof is made of a wooden truss and steel central beam. Concrete blocks in the basement and ceramic fittings for the above-ground floor are connected for the load-bearing structures of the extension. The rigidity of the structure is ensured by reinforced concrete monolithic wreaths, ceilings. The roofing of the ports is solved by a single-skin roof over the stairs and a double-skin countertop roof over the housing units. Thermal insulation of peripheral structures is the subject of the ETICS contact thermal insulation system. The facade on the south side facing Husova Street will be renovated to its original condition.

Parking garage in the University hospital in Brno – Bohunice

The thesis is draft a multi-storey parking garage in the area of University Hospital in Brno Bohunice to insufficient capacity of the parking spaces. The aim of thesis is to create a sufficient number of parking spaces, which would solve the deficit of parking spaces and connecting the street Jihlavská. The parking garage is located on the south side of the University Hospital and ensures pedestrian connections to the hospital. The parking garage should serve for patient, visitors and hospital staff. This thesis takes into consideration the solution of terminal of public transport in Bohunice’s hospital and for patients and visitors to the hospital is also designed park.

Design elements turbo-roundabouts

Dissertation describes new methodology of design turbo-roundabouts in Czech Republic. Especially innovative is approach to the design of traffic lanes with regards to standard vehicles and widening of traffic lanes according to their dimensions. Innovative is also approach to road signs, where details of current signs are modified, however, these details are important for drivers’ better understanding while driving through turbo-roundabouts. Dissertation fills legislative, but also technical, blank spot during turbo-roundabouts design and I believe that it will benefit particularly designers of these intersections.

City apartment house Klíčova

New city apartment house is located in the center of Brno, incorporated into older apartment buildings on the Klíčova street and partly on the Zvěřinova Street, near the Křenová street, Olomoucká street a Tržní street. It is a monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton, founded on piles, with five aboveground floors and one underground floor, finished by a flat roof. The house is separated by four entrances to units. Each of these units contains a specific type of flat and house is fully wheelchair accessible. In the house there is a underground parking, service areas and flats. Behind the house there is a recreational area for residents of the house. This house is interesting because of interior design and attractive location, especially thanks to the position in the city center, easy accessibility and pleasant surroundings near the river Svitava and a adjacent alley.

Sports and Leisure Centre Brno

The theme of the dissertation titled the Centre of Sport and Leisure Time in Brno is a design of a relaxing and sport site „Centrum Lužánky“. The subject of this project is architectonic-city-planning study, which deals with elaborating a concept of a sport centre behind Lužánky in Brno-Ponava. This dissertation contains details of the facility and the area of the current swimming pool Lužánky. The current state of the facility built in 1979 doesn’t meet requirements of visitors and sportsmen anymore. The main aim of this project is the reconstruction of the current fifty-meter swimming pool, a design of a new swimming pool placed under the ground floor of the current building, which will provide space for organizing international competitions, trainings of professional sportsmen, etc. At the same time the busyness of the current swimming pools would be lowered by building a new indoor and outdoor waterpark, especially for the group of recreational visitors. The attractiveness of the facility will be increased by the newly designed park relaxing area and proposed multipurpose area, used as a sports field in the summer and as an ice ring in the winter. Additional value of the facility is comprised by an indoor and outdoor café and large relaxing area on the roof of the waterpark. The whole area increases the community facility availability by a proposed wide range of services for health, relax and sport. The advantage of the whole concept is the mutual connection of all facilities. The entrance to the area is shortened by a designed pedestrian bridge, accessible from the south and north busy areas. The whole project is enhanced by increased number of new parking places, located particularly along the access road, the street Sportovní, going through a green zone. The road and parking places are proposed in the design of residential streets, respecting walking pedestrians. The area has a very rich sport history, which is dated back to 1922. Road design - Školní street in Horka nad Moravou

The aim of the master´s thesis is the design of a transport solution for the surroundings and inner block of Školní street in Horka nad Moravou. Školní Street is a purpose-built road that passes through the courtyard and leads to the garages. There are no integrated sidewalks between the apartment buildings that would connect to each other and would be barrier-free, and there is no paved area intended for the placement of containers. There is also an insufficient capacity of parking spaces in the addressed area. The project will address the connection of the purpose-built road of Školní Street to the local road of Školní Street. This diploma thesis should therefore bring possible variants of solutions, with the help of which it will be possible not only to eliminate these shortcomings.

Shopping centre entrance area

Diploma thesis describes the design and assessment of roof structure that covers entrance of the shopping center. Structure has an irregular floor plan and roof height is 16.5 m. The material of the structure is steel S355. The construction is located in Hradec Kralove. Two options were processed that were designed and evaluated according to applicable standards. The work also includes the design of anchoring and selected joints.

Nursing home

This thesis deals with the Nursing home in the city of Prostějov. The object includes 36 one room flats and 2 three room flats. There are proposed another equipments which are related to nursing services such as two surgeries, rehabilitation, massage salon, coffee bar and hairdressing salon in the building. The hole building was designed as accesible. The object is two storied, cellarless and its grand plan is indented. It is staffed on plane plot in a quiet area of apartment blocks. There are going to be build new road, parking places and surfaces outside. The roof is designed as flat single casing or double casing. The main structure system is designed as walls of ceramic blocks and ceiling of reinforced concrete. All of the flats are situated on the southern side and the entrances are situated on the northern side.

Detached house, Kuřim

The subject of this work is the solution of a detached family house in the village Kuřim. It is a cellarless, two-storey building with a covered parking place for one car. The Shape of the building is rectangular with single cased flat roof. The house is situated in gently sloping land mainly in the area of houses. The main entrance to the building is situated on the west and the entrance to the site from the north. The lighting and ventilation of all rooms is provided by windows. Horizontal and vertical main structures of the building are designed of the building system Heluz.
